Wisdom comes during the pleasure, not suffering

Is the self-organization a force for behaving a thirst for knowledge? Why is it effective to individualize teaching and learning? This and other questions I would like to discuss with you in today`s post.

The issue about education appears every time when we meet amateurs in the positions of professionals. Sometimes natural talent is the most remarkable and helpful thing that makes somebody a quick learner. However, if you want to achieve a success during the educational process, get full marks, pass exams with flying colours or become graduated from the university with “full head” but have a lack of abilities, you need to have an individualized approach when you are completing the course. Sirken Robinson takes the view that attributing a very high status to the teaching profession and individualizing learning we can force student`s creativity and help them to put their thinking cap on. He subscribes to the theory that the arts, humanities and physical education should receive equal quality of time to be learned. Giving an example of a Finland educational system Robinson points out that disciplines that are in the process of learning must not be obsessive. I honestly think that it is better to give freedom in the choice of subjects for the students than to stifle their desire for studying by excessive study load.

Let`s imagine one situation. You are having a crash course that demands to hit the books and burn the midnight oil. You are not a teacher`s pet, but you want to pass all exams and take a diploma. This is obviously the ideal time to show your self-organization. As Saguta Mitra says collaboration and encouragement are extremely important for learning. He emphasizes that learning at the same time is “a product of educational self-organization”. My firm conviction is that if we are able to organize our educational process, find the source of self-motivation, we can easily learn vocabulary by heart, brainstorm new ideas or even open our own mental agility.

Finally, I take the view that leading authorities in the field of educational system will improve the way that students are taught especially increasing the level of self-motivation. We should bear in mind that studying is for us, not for teachers: wisdom comes during the pleasure, not suffering.

WORK HARD!

«My first vocabulary class was like a torrential rain during hot und boiling summer. It means that it was absolutely relaxing because I saw a lot of familiar faces, we were talking about our summer and had pleasurable 80 minutes. From the one side, it`s a classic example of a first class. But to make it clear this class was rather interesting.» I started my first blog with such words three months ago. Now I have an insight into a fact that vocabulary classes are, perhaps, the most important among the other subjects in our course. We have been developing reading, listening and speaking skills during this time: it was not only learning words. Among all pros and cons of studying it`s the best what I`ve noticed. Now I have a fulfilling emotions after that time of collaboration and maintaining team spirit preparing speaking tasks.

My expectations were certainly more positive, but I have been taken my results on stake every time writing the blogs and learning words. That`s why I understand that everything depends on me and I must prioritize all tasks in order to juggle them on time.

Progress? Certainly, I`ve become more developed in writing blogs, using new words combinations and accomplishing unexpected or severe challenges (e. g. sixth units for one class). However, I had one funny story with that home task. In order to find the book “Oxford Word Skills”, I googled and, unhappily, I found another edition. Unfortunately, I failed and came to the class unprepared.

Now my train of thoughts is on the go and I think about small vocabulary classes` milestones. Sometimes I encounter problems, was lack of time, blew not important thing out of its proportion, but my biggest mistake was procrastination.

The most interesting task was creating blogs using different opportunities of the social networks as a registered user. Everybody agrees that doing homework in the Internet is a student`s paradise.

Practice makes perfect, doesn`t it? When you`re learning topics that you`re interested in your studying is not only useful but enjoyable too. I think it would be good if we learnt words related to the topics about free time, holidays, hobbies or manners and customs.

My heart tells me that second trimester will be livelier, more productive and completely satisfying. I don`t want to jump to conclusions but I anticipate that it would be more interesting. Despite the fact that something can go wrong, keep the chin up and go ahead! Sometimes even the principal concern could be transformed to the rewarding outcome.

Help! I`m in ...

Hallo!!! SOS! My ship-car has broken down. Now I`m in an ultra-modern building with all innovative devices and cutting-edge technologies. It`s extremely exciting! I`ve sent you a video from my current location, I`m inside of this preserved object and I`m completely confused.

Let`s describe the atmosphere inside. Huge living room with big French windows, comfortable sofa and something that looks like our monitor. Now I`m going to try to switch it on. WOW! It displays dilapidated castles, oh, football match, cooking courses, abandoned medieval ruins of the house. I`ll take it with me.

And now… spacious fully-equipped kitchen, fitted fridge and kitchen table in mint conditions. The hall is a bit cramp but a bathroom is a dream. Airy atmosphere, brand new jacuzzi and sun-lighted side.

The most “tasty”* part of this building – bedroom – is genuine paradise for sleeping. Again French windows, as good as new wide bed and fitted wardrobe. Are you ready to make a “party crash”* here?

Outside the building has its up to date look. If to trace the quality of colours back, I`ll say that it was renovated few years ago. Unfortunately, there are felt into decay stables on the back garden. I guess formerly the owners were keeping horses there. Moreover, I`ve found a lot of second-hand reconditioned machines of the previous century in the garage. Wow! There is also a museum of antique masterpieces and reproductions. Guys, help. This building isn`t one, I`ve found a lot interesting more. Perhaps, I`m in Mezhygirya?

A stuff manager has to react promptly to the changes, be ready to make quick decisions and stick to further work. A secretary has to jot all notes down very quickly, be alert and be on the ball, she`s like a second face of her boss. Our company`s stuff keeps team spirit, and we demand being proactive, wise of decisions and skilled in resolving company conflicts, every vacation requires collaboration, even you are a manager and a cleaner. I value everyone from the stuff, that`s why I try to keep track of every employee.

The agency offers flexible hours but in reasonable limits. Every Friday we have shortened day and general meeting.

You are a flower!

Our life is a thread but different people has different ways of existence. That`s why such threads can be multicoloured, with knots or may be torn not being knitted with others. Life can be spent in tears, be a by-product of the whole community being. But sometimes tears can reduce our stress and absorb bad vibes, pour anger out, make from vulnerable leaf a jubilant blade.

A person is a flower. It is born, it is growing and then it is taken off by the surrounding world or old age. Childhood is a brick that searches for another bricks and cement in order to build a great house, for the way to achieve the aims so that it can have an impact on others, for taking an interest in the world because only your heart can tell you what to do.

In this contemporary world, when business is booming, when it`s too hard to live the life to the fullest only instinct and heart prompt you the right way. When the flower is growing different obstacles can disturb it (like ivy) and sometimes it`s too late to consult an expert. Life is full of predators and it is a natural competition. If to put problems into words you can`t know what to expect from friends. They are like other threads that join you but sometimes they are too unreliable to give the secrets away.

Therefore, not to be cheated you should be guarded but don`t disclose private information at the same time. It does wonders for living in paradise. And in the end you`ll be a flourishing rose, independent, ecstatic flower…

Communication. Body language

Our communication is extremely diverse and consists of different parts. Body language is an inalienable component when we come into contact with different people. Bear in mind that it`s a good way to make generalizations about person`s characteristic features, but sometimes we can misinterpret behavior of our interlocutor.

Excessive gestures may inform us that person is an extrovert. But don`t jump into conclusions because it could also be a soul commotion. It should be pointed out that different politics use their gestures as a way of persuasion. Also folded arms may imply strict intention or displeasure.

Eye contact and smile is a feature of the honest conversation and it really shows friendly relationships. Not necessarily it`s a kind of showing your faith because sometimes it could be psychical domination.

And what when somebody`s going red? When you observe such situation it`s a good example of fury. Somebody displays verbal warmth and is ready for dialogue fight.

Lie is always accompanied with combination of losing eye contact, having perspiration on the forehead and trembling in the voice. Some people show their stubbornness and try not to show their lie. They are definitely good actors.

And finally, there are some interesting facts in relationships between man and woman. Fiddling with hair is a feature of woman who fancies somebody. Man flirting is expressed in smoothing the hair and stroking an earlobe.

So don`t forget that not only voice is a mean of communication, sometimes body language can show more that you expect!

"Wisdom holds a candle to experience, but you`ve got to take the candle and walk alone." Lauren Kate

Firstly, to say the truth, this quotation really expresses the main idea of studying, education, wisdom and knowladges at all and exactly shouldn`t be underestimated. It means that theoretical developments are useless without taking them itno the suitable direction.
If you`re intelligent, it doesn`t mean that you`re overfilled with wisdom and extremely wise qoutations. Wisdom is a way of actualizing your brain flexibility, multi-functional opportunities and productive activity. It`s like a simple candle without a fire but when you light it, you`ll discover your own life road. Darkness is an ignorance, candle fire means clarification.
Moreover, you can have an inflamed candle but standing on the one place is a great mistake. Wisdom wants to be shown, it wants to reflect everything you think, you want and have. And thinking is a movement. So the right choice, the most productive way is to take the candle and walk alone. And remember that wisdom isn`t a monotonous song, it`s a dynamic, active and overwhelming stream of thoughts. We`re all the rulers of our consciousness (mostly), so everything depends on our choice.
That`s why wisdom holds a candle to experience, but we should lit the fire, keep it and wisdom will burst into flames.
